NewTales is an AI audiobook generator. You give it a story idea — or paste your own text — and it writes the story, produces matching cover art, and narrates the whole thing. You get a JPG cover and a WAV audio file, ready to listen or share. The service launched in 2026 at newtales.pro.

Creator & Developer — semasping

Merchant of record — Sergey Pinigin

Payments, invoicing and the legal entity behind the service are handled by Sergey Pinigin, sole proprietor based in Varna, Bulgaria. This is the name that appears on your card statement, on your receipts, and on any invoice we issue. For GDPR requests or legal correspondence, email privacy@newtales.pro.

How it works under the hood

We don't own any large-model infrastructure. We compose a pipeline on top of best-in-class providers:

  • Story writing — Anthropic Claude (via the Claude API).
  • Cover art & primary narration — Google Gemini (image generation and TTS).
  • Fallback narration — ElevenLabs, used automatically when Gemini is unavailable.
  • Payments — Stripe (Checkout + subscriptions + one-time credit packs).
  • Email — Resend for outbound, ImprovMX for forwarding inbound support@ and privacy@.
  • Hosting — a Contabo VPS in Germany runs the Fastify API, PostgreSQL, Redis, MinIO (S3-compatible) and nginx. Deploys go through Coolify.

The frontend is a React 19 + Vite SPA with a Fastify-backed SSR layer for share pages and legal documents. A full sub-processor list with locations lives in our Privacy Policy.

Our take on AI-generated content

Everything produced by the Service is machine-generated. We're deliberate about that — you see "Generated by NewTales AI" on every share page, and the Privacy Policy tells you exactly which providers handle your prompt. We don't pretend the content has a human author; that would be dishonest and bad for LLM provenance. The copyright landscape around AI output is still unsettled, but practically speaking you own the prompts you write and can use the generated output commercially under our Terms of Service.

Transparency & trust

  • Privacy — we comply with GDPR. Full details in the Privacy Policy.
  • Contracts — the Terms of Service describe your rights and ours; the Data Processing Agreement spells out our role as a processor for content you upload.
  • Refunds — the Refund Policy covers the EU 14-day withdrawal rules.
  • Cookies & analytics — we use a self-hosted, cookieless Umami instance and only load it after you consent. See the Cookie Policy.
  • Security — TLS everywhere, bcrypt passwords, refresh-token rotation, time-limited signed URLs for files, EU-hosted databases.
